Our Mission
Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church exists to Exalt Christ through inspirational worship, Evangelize our community by sharing the good news of salvation in many and varied ways, Educate believers so they may grow in their knowledge of God and become faithful disciples of Christ, to Equip believers for ministry to others within the church and community and to Encourage one another through the bonds of fellowship in the love of God. Statement Of Faith The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the basis for any statement of faith. The church subscribes to the doctrinal statement of "The Baptist Faith and Message" as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 2000, which states..."The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. Therefore, all Scripture is totally true and trustworthy. It reveals the principles by which God judges us, and therefore is, and will remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union, and the Supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds and religious opinions should be tried. All Scripture is a testimony to Christ, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation." We band ourselves together as a body of believers in Jesus Christ personally committed to sharing the Good News of salvation to lost mankind. The ordinances of the church are Baptism and the Lord's Supper. |
