| | church and started a mission known as Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church for the purpose of reaching people on the east side of the city of Meridian. In the one hundred and seventeen years since that organizational meeting, the people have changed, and the methods have changed, but the mission remains the same - to reach new people, in new places with the Gospel of Christ. Our motto is "Growing Through Life Together". That is more than a slogan. FABC is a "growing" church, not just numerically, but spiritually as well. Our desire is to grow deep in our Christian faith and to become disciples that reach other people for Christ.

Life is filled with joy, sorrow, achievements, failures and every emotion in between. Fifteenth Avenue is a family that shares in the celebrations and triumphs and ministers in the difficult times. We are growing through life "together". This is truly a family of faith - together we laugh, together we cry, together we minister for God's Kingdom. As our church seeks new ways to minister to the citizens of Meridian, while, at the same time, reaching out in mission endeavors around the world - New York City, India, Vietnam, Macedonia, Africa and others - we continue the mission born in the hearts of those who went before us.
